This Privacy Policy describes how A Simple Company LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with our mobile applications, including Lift Happy, noBScan, Red or Black, Budgeteer, Bookses, and any other apps we publish (collectively, the "Apps"), and our website at www.asimplecompanyllc.com (the "Site").
The short version
We don't create accounts, we don't collect personal information, and we don't sell or share your data. Our Apps are designed to work entirely on your device—with the exception of Admob ads and calls to the Gutenberg API to download books in Bookses. The only outside parties involved are our advertising provider and Gutenberg, which may collect limited technical information to show ads — and even that goes away entirely if you purchase the ad-removal option.
Information we do NOT collect
We do not require account creation or login for any of our Apps. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
Your name, email address, or contact information
Your location
Photos, contacts, or files on your device (beyond what's needed for a feature to function locally — for example, noBScan processes document images entirely on your device and does not upload them anywhere)
Health, fitness, or workout data you enter (for Lift Happy, this stays in a local database on your device)
Any data that would let us or anyone else identify you personally
Information handled by third parties
Our free, ad-supported Apps display ads served by Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob and its partners may automatically collect limited technical data such as your device's advertising identifier, device type, general region (derived from IP address), and app usage events related to ad display. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising terms, not by us directly — we do not have access to, and cannot identify, individual users from this data.
If you purchase the one-time ad-removal option within an App, ads (and this third-party data collection) are turned off entirely for that App.
We do not currently use analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics) in our Apps. [If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent before enabling analytics.]
Data stored on your device
Some Apps store data locally on your device to function (for example, your workout history in Lift Happy, or your color preferences in Red or Black). This data:
Stays on your device
Is not transmitted to us or any third party
Is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its data through your device settings
Children's privacy
Our Apps are general-audience apps and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at mike@asimplecompanyllc.com and we will address it.
Your choices
Since we don't collect personal data or maintain accounts, there's no personal profile to access, correct, or delete on our end. You can:
Opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings > Google > Ads on Android)
Uninstall an App at any time to remove all locally stored data
Purchase the ad-removal option to stop third-party ad data collection for that App
Changes to this policy
If we change how our Apps or Site handle information, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted prominently, either here or within the affected App.
